(Note: I'm aware of the recommendations to get a dedicated scanner that comes with it's own software. Is it safe to buy PaperPort 14 off of ebay, as long as it comes via a CD (as opposed to download)? Will PaperPort 14 upgrade to PP 14.7?
So what software do the scanning BH's recommend? Should I just buy PP14, or is there a better solution? Although Kofax still sells PaperPort 14, it does not seem to be its focus. I started to simply buy PaperPort 14, until I realized PaperPort 14 was released about 10 years ago, and the company that made it (Nuance) has since been acquired by Kofax. I also learned Brother won't let me download PaperPort 14, as that did not come with my printer/scanner.Īs a result I need to acquire a scanning software solution.
Setting up a new Windows 11 computer, I learned PaperPort 12 is incompatible with Windows 11, and thus won't install. Following the advice from other threads, my scanning solution has been a Brother multifunction printer/scanner, using PaperPort 12 scanning software that came with the printer/scanner, which OCR's all scanned documents.
